Layer Me Please
Do you stand in front of your closet and stare at your dress? Or wonder why your blouse or shirt just doesn't seem right? Do the colors pop? Do you even know if they do or should? How do you feel inside those clothes?
I am finding that with all the wonderful ladies I meet and play dress up with in my giant jewelry box, that the biggest complaint is that they just don't know how to layer or what to wear with their outfits. When we meet, they start out with a simple necklace and then by the end of my working with them, they are completely bejeweled and bedecked. Most of all, they are THRILLED with the look and they say they FEEL amazing.
What? Stack a bunch of bracelets on the SAME wrist? Yup, perfect and looks terrific....that is the word on the street with the women I meet.
So....my big, giant portable jewelry box and I are here to help you if you want it! Let me come to your house or you to mine, bring an outfit or let's stand in front of your closet and create a few different looks with the jewelry you have and with some of mine.
Don't want to spend money on all new occasion jewels for one event? Let's have a girls night out and I will lend you the jewelry you need for a year. As a service to all of my hostesses who host a qualified home show, catalog or virtual show with me, they can borrow from my jewelry box.
In addition, for that one year, any purchase you make will be at 10% off!
So let's get the baubles out and layered! I'm here to help you.

How are you?
When someone asks you, "hey, how are you?" What do you respond? Is it a prompt to a long philophical answer? Is it a oh, fine, what about you? Let me get outta here? Or is it a chance to really tell someone that you're great, having an awesome day, loving your job! Ask me and I will tell you I am great, lovin what I do every day.
I found this blurb from an article from the Jewelers Circular Keystone....By JCK Staff
Posted on March 15, 2011
"With the incredible success of Silpada—the direct jewelry seller purchased by Avon in July 2010 for $650 million—it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the move has inspired others."
So this is great news, isn't it!!! It's wonderful to know that others value/want what I and 32,000 women already have. I love my job. I love helping others. I love to mentor and train women to be what they want with their own business that works for their lives. I love to put money in the bank. What is your answer when someone asks you, how are you?

I'm proud to represent B.I.G. In Needham & excited to get to chat about why I love being an entrepreneur!
Meet your Needham neighbor: Amy Reiss Levitt, entrepreneur, B.I.G. leader

Needham — Local entrepreneur Amy Reiss Levitt is a “pod” leader in Needham’s chapter of Believe, Inspire and Grow. She and other women in the B.I.G. network help each other get a leg up in the business world.
Times: How did you get involved in B.I.G.
Levitt: Last spring, a friend invited me to an informal get-to-know B.I.G. gathering. I was intrigued with the concept of like-minded women who support, network, educate and empower one another to achieve their business goals. I am an independent representative for Silpada Designs, the original and fastest-growing sterling silver jewelry home party company in the world and I wanted to find another way to share Silpada’s amazing business opportunity and beautiful jewelry with other women.
I stepped up and offered to be a co-leader for the first Massachusetts B.I.G pod. When the founders of B.I.G. realized the potential of expanding the pods throughout Massachusetts, I accepted the leader role for Needham. Massachusetts now has four pods and growing. B.I.G. is in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts with over 600 members.
Times: What do you do as a pod leader?
Levitt: As the pod leader, I prepare and manage the monthly group meeting, secure the venue, establish and maintain the speaker calendar, grow membership, maintain the database, participate in leader calls, liaise between the pod and headquarters and provide a comfortable and inspirational environment.
Times: What kind of business do you have and how has B.I.G helped you?
Levitt: As an independent representative for Silpada Designs, I offer three services. I introduce a collection of the highest-quality, handcrafted .925 sterling silver jewelry and semi precious stones to individuals. I create a fun, relaxed party atmosphere where women can spend two hours of “me” time with their friends all while playing dress up in my big jewelry box. My hostesses love when I give away hundreds of dollars of free jewelry. I also share the business opportunity to those who want their own business to be empowered by their success.
Being part of B.I.G. allows me to brainstorm different ways to work my business and I get the support to move towards more personal and professional achievements. I learn from the women of B.I.G. because each of them has come from different stages in their professional life. On the flip side, I offer my experiences of being an entrepreneur, both with my Silpada business and my past personalized gift business, Amydoodles.com.
Times: What are the benefits of joining B.I.G?
Levitt: When women get together, we generate powerful energy. We network, create ideas for one another and help build confidence and self-value. This support helps members achieve their business aspirations. Many are entrepreneurs who work alone and want the creative juice that come from connecting with and using peers as sounding boards. Some are looking at reentering the workforce, creating a new version of themselves; others need support with their business. Subject matter experts help us to build a new perspective on important topics.
In addition, B.I.G. members can pod hop between local pods, bringing different members and guests to Needham with new ideas and offerings. When you join the Needham pod, you become a member of the entire network and have access to all 600 members through the website and online community.
Times: What kind of B.I.G. events do you hold in Needham?
Levitt: We launched in September and offer monthly meetings from 10a.m.-noon on the second Monday of the month at The Center Café in Needham. Within these two hours, we network, listen, learn and participate in a subject matter expert’s presentation. We are also part of an open forum where creative and inspiring conversations evolve. Inter-month, less structured gatherings, teleconference or webinars are also available.
Times: How can someone buy your jewelry or join B.I.G?
Levitt: For more information about B.I.G. contact Amy Reiss Levitt via LinkedIn, Facebook, amy@levitts.net, (781) 915-7061, or
visit www.justthinkbig.us. If you are interested in Silpada Designs please visit www.silpada.com or 1-888-SILPADA. Times: When is the next B.I.G. meeting?
Levitt: We are having a B.I.G. Needham Social at The Center Cafe on March 1 at 6 p.m.. RSVP is by Feb 26. Members and non-members welcome. March 14, 10 a.m.-noon at The Center Café, is our next pod meeting with Isabell Wells discussing Organizing Your Business. RSVP appreciated to Amy@levitts.net. More info at www.justthinkbig.us.

Are You Obligated?
When my hostesses’ guests receive a party invitation, do they suddenly get a pit in their stomach and wonder if they “have” to go or “have” to buy? I never want the guests nor the hostesses to feel that way. When I meet with a hostess beforehand or even a phone call, the most important thing I want her to know is that there really isn’t any pressure. I do my parties because I love getting women together. When women are put in the same room over a sangria (I just came back from Espana) or a glass of wine or a coffee, amazing conversations erupt, ideas are generated and lots of laughing just happens and some people buy and some don’t. That is what MY parties are about; fun, friends and laughter....and of course, playing in a BIG jewelry box!! People buy if they want.
The idea is to have lots of women in the same room because then when someone doesn’t want to purchase, it’s not really an issue. As I network around, I am always sure to let people know, there isn’t any pressure to buy a piece of jewelry. Friends attend or even order before the party if they can't make it because they want to support their friend and they NEED a new piece for themselves; otherwise, they’d give a NO for the RSVP (except if they are really busy). So I think it’s important to let people know upfront how many pieces under $50 there are to choose from....this includes a $5 polishing cloth where a $1 goes to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Then they can make a choice. They don’t have to feel they have to sneak out without buying anything because that's not really a fun time out.
At the same time, both the hostess and I are there for fun and laughter and also to get some free jewelry and money!! After all, I have THIS home based business because I love the sterling jewelry and because I want flexibility in my life AND I need to make a living. So the next time you get invited to one of my parties, know there is lots of fun happening…bring along someone you like to hang out with and just enjoy YOU time; whether you buy or not.
