I'm sitting here in the general session with 6000 entrepreneurial beautiful women and can't believe it. Just 4 quick years ago, I sat here with my new silpada sistas listening to Jerry give the State of Silpada and all the cheering women. I remember just last year with tears in my eyes, wanting Silpada what I get up for in the morning. Something my family will be thrilled to have me be doing for me and for them.
Now here I am and I have chills with the reality right now. I did it. I left my day job to pursue my intentions. As Jerry speaks, I just can't believe it. It will be a happy, teary day!
This blog has been a journey starting with my Silpada business 10 years ago in 2007. I am a Sr Leader with Ruby Ribbon who supports women all over the United States both personally and professionally. This is the way to go. Make the money you deserve. Work with happy women who respect and build you up because you deserve it.

On My Way.....
Six weeks have gone by so fast...when I'm doing what I'm passionate about that is....I got into the groove of managing my time each day, of waking up knowing I have the entire day ahead to follow my plan. Some times the day is just how I anticipated and other times the day turns out so completely differently. Why is that? A phone call, an interesting email or a facebook idea/posting leads me that way. As long as I have the same intention each day. To work on my business and to reach the goal of the day.
Here's a perfect example...Silpada announced Monday that Avon has bought the company for $650 million. Immediately there are postings on the Facebook fan page. That was how I heard about it. But unfortunately, without understanding or learning about the acquisition, postings began on the Fan Page that really were uncalled for. Really, why do people have to be so negative when they don't even know the facts. Anyway, due to this announcement, I got on the call that would explain what I would soon learn to be a great boost to my business.
I crafted an email with the help of another Silpada sister and sent it out to about 70 women and men that at some point have either expressed an interest in their own biz, came through to me on the Leads Program or people I simple felt would be interested in the news and how they could possibly help me. So that process took some time to create and send out. Within the hour, I received tremendous results. I heard right away from 2 fabulous ladies who had at one time expressed interest...one was a past hostess and one was a lead directly from Silpada. That afternoon, I received a call directly from my colleague at Silpada who runs the Spanish program because she had a lead for me that was due to the Avon/Silpada announcement! Yep, I got right on that call and am working with the woman to answer some questions and see if Silpada is right for her. (Si claro, en espanol)
So the next day I met one of the appointments and I look forward to working with her very soon!!! Ah but yes, networking....because I wear what I sell, I am always a walking advertisement. Two months back, while in the airport, I met a lovely woman who admired my jewels. She, too, was wearing jewels, albeit not Silpada. No worries...she wanted my catalog and contact information. Consistent and persistent, I heard from her just days ago....not from my state, not a problem...want your own Silpada biz anywhere in the country, including Puerto Rico and Guam...I CAN HELP!!!
Next day, go to my doctor and the receptionist who've I've been chatting with about Silpada for a few years got that same email and immediately booked a party for next month and asked if I would be her support system (well, she didn't say it like that but you get the point) That was not even expected.
Here's the thing, all these women who have stepped up and want to explore the biz mention that they were motivated that I left my day job and went full time. Other people I have seen since I left my day job all say I look so different. What is different? He said today, I look "rosey". I guess that translates to relaxed and happy.
The next steps are all so exciting. I want to grow my team and get to Puerto Rico to have a group there. If I continue to put it out there, it will happen. Life is good.
